Michel Claude, known as Clodion (1738-1814), Important patinated terracotta group depicting a bacchantus and a putto with a satyr. This group is called "The Faun's Family." The bacchantus, standing on a mound, gazes tenderly at her child; the satyr, seated on a rock, holds a basket of fruit and looks at the nymph. In good overall condition with minor wear consistent with age. Signed Clodion on the back. The circular base bears the mark of the Sèvres workshops. Height 47 cm, Width 33 cm, Base diameter 25 cm. 19th-century work. The last photograph illustrates the pendants from the same collection.
