Baroque Secretary Desk With A Sloping Front, Mid-18th Century
A Baroque secretary desk with a slanted front, crafted from oak and cherry wood, comprising a lower section with three drawers featuring a wavy front and apron-shaped feet. Above this is a drop-front with a compartmentalized interior. The upper section is completed by a two-door cabinet with a broken pediment. The hardware is brass, and the drawer fronts and doors are decorated with marquetry. The desk remains in its original condition, unrestored, thus preserving its authentic patina.
