Louis XV Period Fire Screen – 18th Century. Charming molded and carved wooden fire screen, resting on a cabriole base with scrolls, characteristic of the Louis XV style. The shaped frame is surmounted by a delicate carved decoration of flowers and foliage. It is adorned with an antique tapestry depicting a central medallion with a stork in a landscape, surrounded by floral garlands and ribbons in the 18th-century style. Beautiful original patina, elegant proportions, and refined decoration. A charming decorative piece, ideal for an antique fireplace or a classic interior. The Aubusson-style tapestry features a medallion with a stork surrounded by floral garlands and ribbons. There are some losses at the top of the tapestry. The fire screen measures 98 cm high, 72 cm long, and 45 cm deep (including the feet).
