Circa 1950. Universal Automatic Watch. Ref. 1894
Artist: Universal Geneve
Universal Watch was founded in 1894 and throughout the 20th century represented high standards and quality, as well as creativity and progress in the manufacture of increasingly efficient and precise movements. A few years later, it became Universal Genève. The watch we are presenting, probably created in the late 1940s or early 1950s, features an automatic movement with a central seconds hand. The diameter is relatively large for a watch of this period (37 mm). The case is stainless steel, the original case back bears the date of the brand's creation, and the champagne-pink dial is in perfect original condition (not repainted). The hands and numerals are gold. The strap is new (I wear it occasionally to test it), and it has been serviced by the watchmaker "L'Equation du Temps" in Fontainebleau, who guarantees it. It is therefore in perfect working order and excellent condition.
