Empire period portico clock, signed on the dial "Rosselet à Grenoble" and referenced in Tardy's dictionary under the date 1815. Gilt bronze ornamentation. A micro-temple of time, its black marble structure features two slender, symbolic pillars of octagonal and lozenge-shaped geometric form, adorned with palmettes and lozenges. These pillars support the upper section, decorated with rocaca, an antique ornament symbolizing harmonious beauty, framing the wide, domed white enamel dial highlighted by a chiseled waterleaf border. Surmounted by baskets of flowers and fruit, a motif of abundance and prosperity, and further emphasized by cascading vegetal garlands on either side.

The space between the columns is occupied by a sublime original pendulum decorated with a sunburst surrounded by rays. With each swing, the suspended sun animates the portico with a solemn gentleness, as if time itself breathed in a sacred light.

The clock rests on a rectangular base highlighted by a row of flattened pearls and set within a long, chiseled frieze of palmettes.

Original mechanism, unaltered, with a wire suspension and striking the hours and half-hours on an antique bell.
