Description: An elegant Louis XV style commode, richly marquetry, opening with three wide drawers in the front. The front and sides are made of precious woods arranged in a herringbone pattern, with floral marquetry reserves in the center of each drawer. The decoration features stylized bouquets and framed medallions, typical of the Rococo style. The curved uprights terminate in finely chased bronze sabots and drops with foliate decoration. The drop handles and keyhole escutcheons are also in worked bronze, with Rococo and floral motifs. The top is veined marble in shades of cream, ochre, and violet, with a molded edge. Interior & Structure: Three dovetailed drawers. Solid wood interiors. Functional lock. Key included. Solid wood base and structure. Condition: Very good overall condition. Minor signs of wear consistent with antique furniture. Bronze mounts in good condition with a beautiful patina. Marble top in good condition, without any major chips.
