Small double-drawer glass inkwell. Mercury-gilt bronze mount. Four pen holders. The two arms are decorated with eagle heads. Good overall condition, beautiful original gilding, very fine chasing. Complete, one foot and the nuts have been replaced. The glass pans are original; each element has its place, each pan fits into its specific compartment with its lid, and not haphazardly. A meticulous piece of work. Probably French, Empire period, made for Northern Europe. 155 x 135 mm
