This collector's item depicts a lively and playful children's scene. It shows two young boys around a low wall, likely a scene of playing truant. The first child, standing on the wall, appears to be keeping watch near a fruit tree. The second child, at the foot of the wall, adopts a dynamic pose, as if about to climb or run away. The contrasting materials create a very elegant visual effect. On one side, the chalky white of the wall is made of bisque porcelain, while on the other, the figures are bronze. Note a slight crack in the bronze on the back of the scene, on the central branch, as shown in the photos.
