Orangeade Set - Jacques Blin
Textured ceramic orangeade set signed by the renowned French ceramist Jacques Blin (1920-2012), an iconic piece of 1950s - 1960s design.
This set consists of a large, slender pitcher with side handle and its six matching tumblers. It features the glaze so characteristic of the artist's work: an off-white/beige background with a nuanced, almost rocky appearance, contrasted by rubbed dark metallic oxides, giving that timeless, "rough" effect unique to Blin.
The bottom of the pitcher is adorned with a superb decoration engraved in the material depicting a stylized bird with naive lines, evolving amidst graphic vegetation. The six tumblers feature the same geometric frieze engraved in the base (circular motifs and vertical striations), offering a perfect visual unity to the whole.
The pitcher measures 12 cm in diameter - 28 cm in height and the neck 7cm by 9 cm
Each tumbler measures 7 cm in diameter and 12 cm in height
