André Brouillet (1857–1914) Still Life in the Studio Oil on canvas 51 x 60 cm (excluding frame), signed lower left. It depicts a still life in the studio, composed of Orientalist objects, including a ceramic piece used as a brush holder by the painter, thus representing a glimpse into the painter's working environment. The ceramic piece shown is identifiable in André Brouillet's studio: it appears in period photographs and is featured in the painting Interior of the Studio, held at the Musée de l'Échevinage – Musée des Beaux-Arts de Saintes (France).
