A pair of Louis XV style gilt bronze andirons, decorated in the Rococo style. Each andiron features an openwork body with asymmetrical scrolls, entirely adorned with scrolled acanthus leaves and stylized shells. The composition rises in an upward movement, typical of the Rococo style, with a dynamic and elegant line. The curved tripod base ensures stability while extending the vegetal decoration, creating a fluid continuity between the foot and the upper part. The chasing is fine and deep, highlighting the veins of the leaves and the relief of the scrolls. The gilding has a beautiful, warm, subtly nuanced patina, enhancing the volumes and recesses of the decoration. French work from the late 19th century.
