Pair Of Dressing Cases, 18th Century
A charming pair of dressing cases, often called "wig boxes", rectangular in shape with slightly domed lids, made of wood lacquered with Martin varnish in imitation of Chinese lacquer, gold on red background, the lids decorated with gallant scenes in a rock garden, the sides adorned with bouquets of flowers and foliage (wear and minor damages).
