Provençal Saliero In Louis XV Walnut, From The 18th Century

A very beautiful Provençal salt cellar in curved walnut, with three curved sides.
A true miniature piece of furniture in excellent condition.
The curved front is decorated with a carved bouquet of flowers and a beautiful scallop shell on the lower rail, which opens to reveal a wide drawer.
The uprights are carved from solid wood and terminate in small shell feet.
The sides are curved and pegged. It opens with a trapdoor on the top, and the pediment ends with three original candle holders.
It was intended to be placed on a surface or hung to store salt and could easily be repurposed.
Very good overall condition; only a small piece of the foot at the back is missing (0.5 cm).
Beautiful blond walnut patina.
