"Dutch Walnut Burl Sideboard, 18th Century"
A large 18th-century Dutch wardrobe in burr walnut, with an architecturally structured and undulating form. The upper section opens with two doors featuring large molded panels, highlighted by a book-patterned veneer with a pronounced grain. The whole is surmounted by a curved cornice, centered by a carved pediment with foliate decoration. The interior retains its original fittings, including shelves and small drawers, offering versatile storage. The lower section rests on a curved body, opening with three rows of drawers, including two large, bombé drawers, richly adorned with metal fittings (keyhole escutcheons and handles). It rests on carved, claw-shaped feet, characteristic of Northern European furniture of the period. A Dutch piece from the 18th century, this is a striking piece of furniture, particularly decorative due to the quality of its veneer and its design.
