Tall, truncated conical stoneware tankard from Westerwald, Germany. The stoneware has a gray siliceous glaze and is incised of stylized floral decorations dark blue enamel.
The tall handle supports a hinged pewter lid with a turned thumb rest.
This lid is engraved 43 and FH.
German work, mid-18th century.
Original, untouched condition, no flaw, minimal wear.
