"Large Porcelain Stoneware Bowl. Song Dynasty (960-1279)"
A superb Song dynasty bowl decorated with finely incised flowering branches under a monochrome celadon glaze. The stylized natural motifs illustrate the timeless aesthetic of the Song dynasty, which, despite the centuries, remains remarkably modern. The bowl is shallow and wide. The potter's wheel marks are still visible on the exterior. A small, straight, unglazed foot sits on the base. Two sales or collector's labels are located underneath.
