Han Dynasty Terracotta Covered Box
Sublime and rare Chinese covered terracotta box from the Han Dynasty (-206 BCE 220 CE). Most likely made to accompany humans in the afterlife. These rare boxes were discovered in richly decorated burials of everyday and precious objects such as this one. Beautiful size for this box. There are still some slight traces of polychromy.
