Song Dynasty Ceramic Oil Lamp.
Superb oil lamp from the Song Dynasty (960-1279). Very thick black glaze that extends down to the foot, revealing the bare ceramic at the base. The lamp is decorated with two lion heads on each side. The base is hexagonal in shape with small stylized motifs. Beautiful cracks due to age.
