Restoration Period Mahogany Commode – 19th Century. A beautiful Restoration period commode in mahogany, French work from the early 19th century. It features four dovetailed drawers in the front, offering ample storage. The front and sides are veneered in mahogany, with clean, balanced lines typical of the Restoration period. It is topped with its original, well-fitted marble slab. The locks and keyhole escutcheons are original. Beautiful patina; a sound and functional piece. Good overall condition.
