"Charles X Period Shawl Box"
A lovely Restoration/Charles X period shawl box, tomb-shaped, veneered in lemonwood with a decoration of silver-cut diamond-shaped nails bearing the monogram "MV". It features two hanging handles on the sides, a shield-shaped keyhole escutcheon, and its interior is lined with its original red paper. Good overall condition, with some minor veneer losses.
