A columned overmantel mirror with a gallery.
The mirror is surmounted by a projecting entablature decorated with a balustraded gallery (reminiscent of Renaissance castle balustrades).
The frame is flanked by two finely carved engaged columns.
Fluted moldings, turned rings, and baluster-shaped elements are visible at the base.
The upper part of the pediment features a rectangular relief panel.
The aged patina finish reveals the wood grain while adding light nuances to the recesses, beautifully highlighting the carvings. Wooden backing.
Mercury-beveled mirror with excellent clarity.
Note a small chip at the top and bottom of the right column (see photo).
Can be placed on a surface or hung (hooks included).
