"Antique Umbrella, Very Good Condition, Suitable For Weddings Or Historical Reenactments, 1850"
Antique umbrella. The beige silk canopy has been replaced with a similar one, but the original lace trim has been preserved. This parasol is therefore in excellent condition and ready for use. It features a superb handle made of bone carved with flowers and fruit. When open, a mechanism allows the canopy to be tilted by pushing the upper metal ring (at the top of the parasol, just below the canopy). The central metal ring allows the parasol to be folded in half, making it easier to store or transport in a carriage. It measures 21,65 inches long when closed and approximately 23,62 inches in diameter when open. France, circa 1850.
