"Copper Bucket From 16th-17th Century With Gothic Floral Frieze - Tyrol Or Northern Italy, Worn "
A beautiful, early period piece, used in Italian Alps or Tyrol, this is a bucket hammered from a single sheet of copper. It has a rounded base, engraved sides, and a top rim with two lugs that allow a wrought iron handle to swing freely within them. Side is decorated of small lys flowers punched, framing a superb, swirling garland embossed with a small hammer, in a Gothic style. 26cm x 23cm. Weight 1.1kg.
This bucket shows some wear, with small cracks on lugs and an unsightly tin patch (see photos).
A rare, decorative, and authentic item. €240.
