Educational model of an electric motor from the Cattaneo Angelo Milano company.
This instrument used the principle of electromagnetism to convert electrical energy into mechanical motion.
circa 1900.
The device consists of a wooden base, two coils, a flywheel and an intermittent mechanism that attracts and releases an iron bar.
The Cattaneo Angelo company was founded in Milan in 1883 and specialized in the production of educational teaching aids and the drilling of science teaching aids.
The device is functional and comes with a modern 4.5 volt electrical cable to operate it.
