Statue The Hailer By Salvator Riolo France 1930
Artist: Salvator Riolo
Perhaps it was thanks to this handsome, scantily clad athlete that the sculptor Salvator Riolo received a medal for his work in 1935? On its original marble base, this figure, entitled "The Hauler," is more like a stump puller… for it is a tree trunk at the end of its cable that seems to have resisted it for quite some time. This statue deserves a good cleaning.
