A rare pair of Art Deco bookends depicting two stylized elephants, designed by George Nilsson for the Dutch manufacturer Gero. Crafted from silver-plated metal, the elephants feature bold geometric forms characteristic of the 1930s. Each bookend bears the “GERO HOLLAND” hallmark as well as the designer’s “GN” monogram. A beautiful, complete set, sought after by collectors of Art Deco and Dutch design. Patina, wear on the silver plating, and slight marks consistent with age and use.
