Description
Elegant pair of red marble columns veined with pink, cream and ochre tones, resting on a molded square base.
Each carefully polished cylindrical shaft is topped with an Ionic capital decorated with volutes and a frieze of finely chiseled and gilded bronze ova.
The base, also decorated with a chiseled gilt bronze mount decorated with interlacing, underlines the quality of the execution. French work from the second half of the 19th century, in the neoclassical style.
Ideal for displaying large sculptures, busts or decorative vases.
