An English porcelain cabinet bowl by the Derby Porcelain Factory, dating to the late Georgian period, circa 1795–1810. The broad, low form is suited to cabinet display. The exterior is decorated with a deep cobalt-blue ground and extensive hand-applied gilding arranged in foliate cartouches.
Two hand-painted scenes titled “Near Wirksworth, Derbyshire” and “Near Florence” are set within the cartouches, combining English and Italian views in line with contemporary Grand Tour taste. The interior remains plain white, with a gilt geometric border to the rim. The underside bears a factory mark used by Derby in this period, with the titles written in a contemporary calligraphic hand.
