Center Table With Gilded Wood Crossbars, Louis XVI Style

An elegant Louis XVI style center table, crafted from finely carved and gilded wood, dating from the 20th century. It rests on four tapered and fluted legs, richly adorned with floral motifs and joined by a cross-bracing stretcher, characteristic of the Louis XVI aesthetic, providing both stability and visual lightness. The apron is delicately decorated with continuous carved friezes. The top is surmounted by a griotte marble slab with beautiful deep red hues and white veins, cut with a crow's beak, in good condition (note: slight signs of wear consistent with age). The antique gilding displays a beautiful patina, with natural wear that highlights the relief of the carvings and testifies to the authenticity of the piece. This center table will find its perfect place in a classic living room, an entryway, or a library, and can also serve as a console table or decorative stand.
