Elegant portico clock of excellent manufacture from the early 19thcentury, from the Restoration period around 1820. Mercury-gildedbronze, very finely chiseled gold, architecture with two flared roundcolumns resting on a square base decorated with a rosette. The upperpart is decorated on the columns with antique basins garnished withbouquets of flowers framing the large white enamel dial, topped with around basin accompanied by laurel stem handles.
The space between the columns is occupied by a large chiseled frieze ofmythological winged creatures and a sun pendulum. Solid rectangularbase in red griotte marble highlighted by a flattened pearl outline.
Original mechanism without modification, wire suspension. Hour andhalf-hour strike on old bell.
