Late 18th Century Neoclassical Veneer And Inlaid Chest Of Drawers
Refined veneered and inlaid chest of drawers in walnut and walnut burl. The chest of drawers features a linear design and truncated pyramid legs typical of the period. Its refinement and distinctiveness lies in the decorations on the front, top, and sides, which include inlaid geometric lines, patterned panels, and vegetal interlacing at the corners. The inlays on the panels feature classically styled images, such as a man on horseback, women with a child, a statue, and two figures reminiscent of classical antiquity, lending a touch of antique style and class. The chest of drawers has three drawers, two larger ones and a smaller one under the top, ergonomically designed for storage. This is a piece of furniture of great class and refinement, capable of elegantly furnishing any space. Made in Lombardy (Northern Italy) during the Neoclassical period, around the end of the 18th century.
