"Antique Oval Earthenware Dish. Late 18th Century – Southwest France (bergerac?)"
Antique oval earthenware dish with a light-colored paste, covered in a crackled glaze, hand-decorated with a polychrome floral motif composed of a central purple rose accompanied by blue and yellow florets and stylized foliage. The free-form decoration and color palette are reminiscent of regional productions from the Southwest of France at the end of the 18th century. Dimensions: 31 × 24 cm. Condition consistent with age, with general crazing of the glaze, chips and wear around the rim (see photos). No restoration, no cracks.
