Hand dove romantic earrings in 18 and 14k gold, circa 1870. They feature a hand holding a faceted red glass between the thumb and forefinger, above a dove and a faceted green glass. The hand symbolizes friendship and fidelity, while the dove represents love sent or received. The earrings terminate in a teardrop-shaped pendant decorated with black enamel striations. Romantic earrings, dating from between 1850 and 1870, likely English.
