Pair Of Bourbon Drop Earrings, Southern Italy, Circa 1840-1870
Light and elegant, these antique drop earrings are distinguished by their refined design and delicate workmanship. They are Bourbon-style earrings dating from the second half of the 19th century.
Each earring features an oval upper section, embellished at the centre with a floral motif crafted in gold of different tones. This upper element surmounts a convex drop-shaped pendant, terminating in a circular ring finely engraved with geometric motifs.
The combination of different gold tones, together with the finely engraved decoration, gives the earrings a discreet and sophisticated appearance, characteristic of jewellery from the period.
