"Vincent-anglade, Still Life With Roses"
Oil on canvas dated 1928, depicting a bouquet of roses on a tabletop. A painting in a modern style with beautiful texture, signed "H. Vincent-Anglade". Traces of a label on the back. Henri Vincent-Anglade: Henri Vincent-Anglade (1876-1956) was a French painter and illustrator trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. An excellent draftsman, he distinguished himself as a portraitist, particularly in the elegant and sensitive depiction of female figures, and as an animal painter, famous for his horses and racing scenes rendered with a great sense of movement. Alongside his painting, he pursued a significant career as an illustrator and advertising artist, creating posters and designs for major brands. He exhibited in Parisian salons at the beginning of the 20th century. Good overall condition, with some minor wear. Period Art Nouveau frame. Dimensions excluding frame: 72 x 54 cm
