Michel Guyot (born in 1936) Market scene in the central square of Villefranche-de-Rouergue, Aveyron. Michel Guyot studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Orléans and attended the Hamburg Academy of Fine Arts for two years. He works in several disciplines: sculpture, watercolor, oil painting, lithography, engraving, etching, drawing, and wash drawing. In 1985, he opened his own gallery in Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val and sells to an international clientele. He has exhibited his work in galleries in many major cities. He has created monumental sculptures and bas-reliefs commissioned by public institutions and private individuals: a sculpture for the Lafrançaise secondary school, the Verdusse Fountain in Albi, and graphic works: "piano bar" lithographs in homage to Toulouse-Lautrec, and the cover of the Tarn-et-Garonne directory for France Télécom. A member of the "Maison des Artistes" in Paris, Mr. Guyot has received numerous awards, including: first prize for sculpture from the Tarn-et-Garonne General Council in 1987 and 1994, and first prize for sculpture at the "Moulins Albigeois" exhibition in Albi in 1989 and 1992.
