This hair bracelet is adorned on the clasp with a miniature under glass and encircled in gold. The wristband is composed of nine braids of hair interspersed with a line of eight small gilt metal beads. In good overall condition, there are nevertheless two or three small snags on the hair braids and a few minor dents around the medallion. The ratchet clasp bears a hallmark of an owl, guaranteeing a fineness of 750/1000. 18th century. Dimensions of the gold medallion: 4.4 cm x 3.6 cm. Wrist circumference: 17.5 cm. Gross weight: 19.70 grams.
