Pair Of Gilt Bronze And Crystal Girandoles In The Louis XV Style, 19th Century
A pair of Louis XV style gilt bronze and crystal candelabra dating from the 19th century, circa 1860. Distinguished by their finely chased bronze and original gilding, each candelabra features five arms designed for candles resting on a circular base. The cut crystal pendants are of exceptional quality, and the arms are intricately shaped and gracefully decorated with floral and vegetal motifs typical of the Rococo style. The richly decorated, contoured base, adorned with floral engravings, reveals remarkable craftsmanship, all crowned by a pyramidal crystal finial. This pair of candelabra would have been intended for an elegant drawing room, a mantelpiece, or a console table.
