A pair of two-armed, Louis XV Rococo-style gilt bronze candlesticks. Both candlesticks feature a dynamic Rococo decoration composed of scrolls, foliage, and naturalistic motifs. The sinuous stems rise gracefully from a shaped base adorned with shells and scrolls. The candle cups are decorated with foliage. Original gilding. Circa 1900. In very good condition.
