Portrait Of An Officer From The Restoration Period

A fine portrait of an officer, circa 1830, belonging to an aristocratic family whose coat of arms appears in the upper left corner (surmounted by a count's coronet). His uniform features a decoration that also appears on his coat of arms. The epaulettes with their large silver fringes indicate his regimental number, possibly infantry. The painting is in very good condition (a few minor restorations in the background and relining), presented in a contemporary blackened and gilded wooden frame. Overall dimensions: 79.5 x 69 cm, and the canvas 61 x 50 cm
