Late 18th Century Directory Walnut Table
Elegant table in carved solid walnut, with bronze and giltwood finishes. The table features a well-defined base and a rounded top, with gilded ball-shaped feet. On the front, under the tabletop, there are four gilded bronze decorations with a small head, reminiscent of classical antiquity, adding further elegance. Four small drawers open from this point, practical for storing small items. Finally, the round tabletop features an original leather covering with small gilded engravings featuring geometric and plant-like decorations. This is a piece of furniture of great taste and refinement, capable of elegantly furnishing any space and also suitable as a games table. French Directoire manufacture, around the end of the 18th century.
