Louis XV-style Inlaid Side Table, Coffee Table, Center Table, Side Table, Marquetry And Curling
A very beautiful and elegant side table made of precious wood marquetry, in the Louis XV–Louis XVI Transition style.
It rests on four curved legs that are beveled and chamfered. The front edge of each leg is beautifully covered with horizontal marquetry (see photo). They are finished with bronze feet.
The rim is decorated with four panels bordered by light-wood marquetry fillets and featuring beautiful fluted work on the inside. One side of the rim features a large crosswise drawer.
The circular tabletop is also decorated with beautiful fluted work, accented in the center by a marquetry motif depicting interlacing patterns. It is beveled around its entire perimeter in the same manner as the bevels on the base.
Exquisite, high-quality craftsmanship from the very late 19th–early 20th century.
