Claire Durieu (1934-2023), Belgian sculptor, took drawing classes in Antoine Vriens' studio. She studied sculpture at the Brussels Academy under Max D'Haveloose, Moeschal, and Fernand Debonnaire. She won the Triennial Prize in 1956. She participated in numerous exhibitions, including at the Palais des Fêtes in Charleroi (1957), the 8th Middelheim Biennale (1965), and the Palais du Congrès in Brussels (1966). She was a member of the Belgian Women Artists' Federation.
