Ciborium For The Sick And Silver Paten - Early 19th Century
A plain silver ciborium for the sick with a gilt cup. The round base is surmounted by a truncated conical stem, the lid classically topped with a cross. A piece by the silversmith Bertrand PARAUD, active in Paris from 1809 to 1819. It measures 12 cm in height and weighs 84 grams. It is accompanied by a paten. The maker's mark is Remy Maria, registered on September 15, 1894, and cancelled on February 20, 1924, at 13 rue Thevenot, Paris.
The paten measures 8 cm in diameter and weighs approximately 26 grams.
