Rare set of four benches with chest-shaped seats in painted chestwood (chestnut).
Typical of Italian craftsmanship, these "cassapanche" benches were found in the entrance halls of castles and grand residences, as was the case with this set.
The benches are painted in various shades of gray, enhanced by a decoration of garlands of yellow-gold leaves, more or less visible.
The benches are sold as is, with wear, missing pieces, and cracks.
