"Lunéville - Soup Tureen And Stand In Polychrome Earthenware With Streetlamp Decoration - Signed"
A Lunéville earthenware tureen and lid with a fruit-shaped finial. It is complete with its matching round dish. Both pieces bear the Lunéville semi-porcelain stamp underneath. Early 20th century, circa 1900. This is from the famous Réverbère service, emblematic of the Keller and Guérin factory in Lunéville, a pattern found in all the well-to-do families of the bourgeoisie and aristocracy of Lorraine and Eastern France at the end of the 19th century. This design, inspired by the Strasbourg pattern in the Louis XV style, is adorned with hand-painted polychrome floral bouquets and enhanced with pink lines. It exists in several levels of finish; our piece is of superior quality with a "combed" rim. A beautiful collector's item. It is in excellent condition, with fresh colors and no damage. Diameter including handles: 30 cm. Total height: 22 cm.
