Pair of state salon armchairs in natural walnut, large model with high back, still very Louis XIV while embracing the beginnings of the new Regency fashion and Bérain decorations with 4 legs without spacers. Parisian work in Louis XIV style in the taste of the years 1710-1720. Our armchairs are a very beautiful luxury production made for a large chateau in Louis XIII style in the 1880s. They are characterized by the richness and finesse of its sculpture, the accuracy of its very elegant proportions. Not stamped, it is the work of a great Parisian carpenter in seats. Covered with the same finishes, we also present for sale a Louis XIV period armchair which is 300 years old, which lends itself to forming a set with this pair. Our armchairs have been reupholstered with a superb purple and gold Regency style silk with shell pattern from the house of Tassinari and Châtel. Upholstery also redone.
