"Portrait Of A Young Noblewoman From The Late 18th Century"

An interesting oil painting on canvas depicting a noble young woman in a three-quarter view, her left arm behind her back, holding a distinctive peacock feather necklace. Her attire is also highly unusual, as she wears a masculine green, double-breasted blouse, rounded off by a striking white lace collar.

Central Italy - late 18th century, early 19th century

The canvas measures 35cm x 51cm, and the simple wooden frame on which it is mounted has a 6cm section.

The painting is in good condition, never restored, and still requires cleaning. (It shows shellac splatters on the surface.)
