This painting depicts a rural landscape dominated by a majestic mountain range on the horizon. The peaks, in ochre and greenish hues, stand out against a clear, serene blue sky. In the mid-distance, a luminous, almost golden plain is visible, giving the impression of dry heat or a sunny afternoon. In the foreground, the scene shows colorful trains and a shed. This area, rendered with quick, textured brushstrokes, evokes the activity of a small railway site. Vegetation, painted with broad strokes of green and beige, frames the lower part of the painting and provides a natural dimension that contrasts with the trains. The entire landscape is rendered in a modern style quite typical of the 1950s, with slightly muted but harmonious colors and simplified forms that are not abstract. What is truly remarkable in this painting is the contrast of the machines, which seem almost abandoned amidst magnificent nature, creating a beautiful harmony.
