Exquisite First Empire period clock "Water Carrier" in mercury-gilt bronze, with exceptional original matte and burnished gilding – a solid block of gold! It features a decorative, decorative fountain surrounded by cherubs blowing into horns from which water spouts, a frieze of tritons facing two majestic swans, and a rather unusual pose for the water carrier with his two buckets.
